5 Reasons We Loved the Bantam Jeep Festival

5 Reasons We Loved the Bantam Jeep Festival

Since 2011, the Bantam Jeep Festival has become one of the most exciting events in the Jeep and off-roading communities. This family-friendly event attracts thousands of Jeep lovers and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the globe, all in the heart of Western Pennsylvania, home of the Jeep. The event is designed to celebrate all things Jeep, including the history of this legendary brand and why it still resonates with so many drivers today.

This year’s event started on June 7th and ran until the 9th in Butler County, Pennsylvania.

Whether you own a lifted vehicle or you’re anxious to learn more about Jeep lift kits, this is a must-see event for any Jeep lover. Here are 5 reasons we love the Bantam Jeep Festival.

Check Out the Bantam Rough Riders Trail

If you love a challenge, you won’t want to miss the first Bantam Rough Riders Trail. It’s more challenging than some of the more casual events on the schedule. Expect plenty of curving hills, plenty of mud, and other surprising challenges. It’s open to drivers of all experience levels, so this is your chance to get dirty and learn from the pros.

Jeep Decoration Contest

We took a break from all the excitement of the open trail to sign up for the Jeep Decorating Contest. The categories are limited to “Most Creative,” “Best Theme,” and “Most Patriotic.” You can use just about anything to decorate your Jeep, including paint, spray foam, and more structural materials like clay and cardboard.

If you’re more of a creative type, you can strut your stuff in front of thousands of other Jeep lovers. If you’re just here for the trails and the food, you can always just observe. This is your chance to see some of the weirdest Jeeps in the country from people who love their cars just as much as you do.

Try the Jeep Team Challenge

Who needs to go off-road when you can compete in a Jeep challenge? This is not your average off-road event, but more like an obstacle course for Jeep lovers. The rules change every year, as does the design of the course. You and your partner will have to drive your Jeep through the course as you complete a range of challenges. You may be blindfolded or be asked to move objects with your Jeep. A referee will walk alongside your team to make sure you’re following the rules. It’s time to be a kid again and enjoy the simple pleasures of owning a Jeep.

Explore the Night Ops Trail Ride

A staple of the Bantam Jeep Festival, the Night Ops Trail Ride is a must-see event. Participation is limited to pre-registration but watching Jeeps tackle trails at night is sure to get your blood pumping. Jeeps are limited to their headlights and parking lights as they make their way through the trail.

Jeep owners need to get comfortable with a limited field of view as they tackle all kinds of challenges at night. It takes a lot of trust and instinct to take on this challenge. It’s an exciting event unlike anything else in the world. There’s also a campfire with s’mores if you just want to watch all the action unfold.

Play the Bantam Poker Run

Have you ever played poker with your Jeep? We didn’t think so.

This year, the Bantam Jeep Festival is unveiling the Bantam Poker Run. Participants must have their poker card validated at all seven stops scattered throughout the festival grounds before they make their way to the official poker tent. They will then receive their official poker hand and prizes will be awarded to the hand with the highest score, just like poker. They’re also giving out prizes to the worst hands, so you won’t walk away empty-handed. It’s going to take a lot of luck and skill to be the first Poker Run Champion at the festival.
