Superlift Takes the 2019 Easter Jeep Safari by Storm
Jeep-lovers were out in full force for the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, UT, a nine-day event in the desert and mountains with some of the most challenging off-road trails in the country. Superlift was on full display during the event, equipping several Jeeps with suspension packages and off-road accessories, such as front and rear bumpers, fenders, and rock sliders. The Superlift team took the event by storm, tackling some of the area’s harshest trails with ease, including Golden Spike, Moab Rim, and the Cliff Hanger Trail.

About the 2019 Easter Jeep Safari
Hosted by the Red Rock 4-Wheelers Inc., one of the local four-wheel drive clubs of Moab, UT, the Easter Jeep Safari caters specifically to off-road Jeeps and those who love to drive them. The event features some of the most challenging off-road trails in the country, as lifted Jeeps roam and crawl their way over steep rocks, desert dunes, and wayward cliffs.
Every day, lifted Jeeps would head out on the trails for a series of off-road adventures. Drivers were encouraged to bring along plenty of water, sun protection, food, and whatever else they might need to get them through the day. The weather can easily turn on a dime in southeast Utah, giving plenty of drivers a challenge they won’t soon forget.
What It’s Like to Participate in the Easter Jeep Safari
The event is often referred to as the Mecca of four-wheeling, attracting lifted Jeeps from all over the world. Moab, Utah is home to over 30 different off-road trails filled with rocks, sand, and towering cliffs, making this one of the most challenging off-road parks in the country.
Some of the trails are accessible for 2-wheel vehicles but having a 4-wheeler is the preferred choice. The most difficult runs are reserved for heavily modified vehicles, including those with lift kits, upgraded shocks, fenders, and body protection such as rock sliders.
There are two main rules for participating in the event:
RULE 1: A vehicle must have an integral metal top or roll bar to participate in Jeep Safari and have a street-legal license from the registered state.
RULE 2: Vehicles must have safety equipment adequate for legal operation in Utah. We mean seat belts, and we urge everyone to use them. Having proper brakes, lights, and other normal equipment is implied in this rule and should go without saying.
Everyone is also encouraged to bring along a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, tow strap, spare tire, and jack in case anything goes wrong on the trail.
At the start of the day, around 30 groups line up in all over the city of Moab, a small desert city, and head off in nearly every direction, tackling all 30 trails at the same time. This makes for quite the fanfare during the event, as Jeep-lovers watch their favorite lifted vehicles in action.

We originally unveiled this series at the 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas, but the Easter Jeep Safari gave us a chance to see all these new products in action on the trail.
For the big event, we equipped each Jeep with Black Diamond front and rear bumpers, front and rear fenders, rock sliders, and spare tires in case anything went haywire on the trails. These accessories helped our Superlift drivers navigate each course with little difficulty.
Over the course of the event, our drivers hit the following Easter Jeep Safari trails:
- Moab Rim
- Fins and Things
- Poison Spider Mesa
- Where Eagles Dare
- Golden Spike
- Gold Bar Rim
- White Wash Sand Dunes
- Cliff Hanger Trail
Out of all the trails we tackled during the event, the Moab Rim Trail proved to be one of the most difficult. The first mile feels like it’s going straight up in the air, ascending over 900 feet in elevation. The rest of the trail eases up a bit as it levels out into a series of hills, all culminating in a scenic outlook that gives you a stunning view of the desert and the La Sal Mountains.
Check out this awesome video of one of our Jeeps cruising through the Moab Desert.
After all was said and done, our Superlift Jeeps handled the trails with ease. It was all thanks to our amazing lift kits and off-road accessories. Stay tuned to learn more about the Black Diamond series and be the first to add them to your off-road Jeep.
